Bro code: The "Bro Code" Every guy should know and hide from ladies!
Bro code: The "Bro Code" Every guy should know and hide from ladies!
In popular culture, the Bro Code is a friendship etiquette to be followed among men or, more specifically, among members of the bro subculture. The Bro code is a notion of unwritten set of rules that govern the relationship between male friends
I'm going to spill the beans and break down what the Bro Code is and what it's all about along with some codes.
This slang expression talks about how men should not abandon their male friends in order to pursue or embark on relationships with women. This is a golden rule from the Bros code and should be respected no matter the circumstances. Follow the Bro Code, respect the Bro Code. It’s a jungle out there.
2. Never let a bro (or yourself) sacrifice dignity for a woman.
I've seen men do sad, sad things for the sake of winning over a girl (hell, I've been there myself). I once had a friend who was called up at 5am by a girl that he liked (who was constantly flaking on him and had him firmly slotted into the friend zone) to help her carry her drunk friend home. Imagine how awkward it is, but some guys would have no choice but to try and impress the lady even if what she asked for is unreasonable. It's your duty as a bro to prevent this from happening because it's one of the Bro Code thingy.
Wingman is a role that a person may take when a friend needs support with approaching potential romantic partners. Most guys will be pretty intimidated by trying to pull a girl who is with a friend or two. So if your bro needs your backup, you always back him up.
Hitting a lady generally is very bad but hitting on your friend’s lady, you're going to make a serious enemy if you try that. Your boy is trusting you when he introduces his girlfriend to his friends. Be nice, be playful, include her in the group, but don’t flirt with her. Be a good friend. It's highly appreciated amongst the Bros.
5. Never hook up with or date a bro's ex-girlfriend (without permission)
This is definitely a touchy subject among men. It’s full of plenty of gray area. Two different scenarios could call for two very different reactions.
- Scenario 1: Your friend dated a girl for two months, and you really hit it off with her three years later? That’s probably fair game.
- Scenario 2: Your friend dated a girl for four years, and you try to hook up her four weeks later? That’s breaking the bro code.
6. Always tell your bro if his girlfriend cheats on him!
It’s a conversation that no guy wants to have with his friend because we don't want to ruin their relationship. But if you’re a good friend, and you’re following the bro code, you have no other choice than to tell it to your Bro.
7. Be your bro's keeper when he's absent.
In the absence of your bro, you are his girlfriend's protector. You shall ride her to wherever she wants and keep her safe. It's part of the Bros code.
8. Help finance a bro when needed!
If a bro is broke, the bro code demands you to treat him. In no case shall he be left hungry, homeless or without drugs or alcohol whatever he may prefer.
9. Always watch out for a drunk bro
A bro shall never allow another bro to text a girl when drunk. In case his girlfriend calls when he is drunk, the phone shall be kept in the custody of someone sober until the bro comes back to senses.
10. Bros codes deals with forgiveness
A bro shall always be forgiven. Bros are for life, there is nothing a bro can do to deserve hatred. Unless he gets involved with your girlfriend. In that case, Kill him. 🚶 🚶
The Bro Code is for those of you who are particularly troubled by the so-called golden rule of "be a better man." The bro code, also known as friendship etiquette, is the rule that all bros should follow and bros who follow this rule may never reveal their bro code rules to the ladies.
College boys and men everywhere seem to have the ability to instantly unite as a unit, and when it comes down to it, how many times would a guy choose his bro over his girl? There is no "good" or "bad" bro code, just a set of rules for the best bros.
TV shows we all know well, from the popular TV series "The Simpsons" to the popular The series "How I Met My Mother." They are all proud of the Bro Code, which is alive and should be followed by all people to help each other. By saying the "guy code" or "bro code," every man knows the rules to be a guy, and by saying it, he knows all the rules to be the guy.
As a man, you feel like you belong to a special group of Spartans who can never show pain or weakness. This includes not going to the doctor, but simply dealing calmly with the pain and symptoms. You can always have your friend's back in a fight, always try to remove one pee from the other, and never cry in public. Your masculinity code affects your health more than you think, so please don't overreact.
The idea of "bro code" is unspoken among men, but it has now been revealed on Reddit, and I'll get right here and make it clear that this is one thing.
The list goes on, but hopefully most of you can figure it out and think for yourself. No one says bro code makes sense, and no girl would want to be considered bro anyway. If you don't understand how everything is girly, then say that girls can also be bros.
When you meet a friend and they are physically attracted to you, and of course the feelings are reciprocal, your first instinct is to help them talk to that person and eventually connect with them. They are always your friends, but when you meet a woman you want to marry, loyalty is always with your boyfriend, no matter what happens in their relationship. Women's relationships come and go, even if they are not always with you for the right or even the wrong reasons.
There may be a principle of bro-code that applies to most, if not all, men, but no one teaches it. No one can judge or regulate male behavior by that standard, and boys learn to become men by their own standards, not by the standards of their parents or peers.
