Health Watch... Why GINGER Is Very Important. 

Ginger "Zingiber officinale" is a plant with leafy stem and yellowish green flowers, the ginger comes from the root of the plant. It is a member of plant family that includes cardamom and tumeric. It is a spicy aroma is which is a native to warmer parts of Asia eg China, india but now grown in parts of South American, Africa and Middle east where used as medicine and with food. 

1. Lowers Hypertension :: Ginger contains phenolic anti-inflammatory compounds that relaxes blood vessels thereby lowering blood pressure. Gingerol is also a natural blood thinner.

2. Inhibits Cancer Growth::  Studies shows bioactives compounds and molecules in ginger slows down groth of some cancers like colorectal, gastric, ovarian, skin, breast, prostate cancer.

3.. Detoxify the system :: Ginger taken with lemon, honey are used in detox regimen to cleanse the buildup of waste and toxins in the intestine, liver and other organs.

4. Lowers Blood Sugar :: Ginger helps the body cells to fully utilize blood sugar by activating adequate secretions of hormone insulin.

7. Lowers Cholesterol :: A daily of ginger helps fight "bad" or LDL Cholesterol levels. Taking a 5 grams of ginger a day for 3 months lowered people's LDL cholesterol an average of 30 points.

8. Relieves Dysmenorrhea :: Got menstral cramp, ache or pains. Ginger powder may be helpful. Recent studies shows that women who took 1,500 milligrams of ginger powder once a day for 3 days durng their cycle felt less pain than women who didn't.

9. Soothes Inflammations :: Ginger is an anti- inflammatory, meaning it reduces swelling. Helpful in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis etc. You may get relief from pain and swelling taking ginger either by mouth or by using a ginger compress or patch on your skin.

10. Ginger keeps your Mouth Healthy :: Active compounds in ginger called gingerols keeps oral bacteria from growing. These bacteria causes periodontal diseases and gum infections. Ginger's antibacterial power may also brighten your smile.
