6 Major Things We Learnt From Will Smith And Jada's 'Red Table Talk' Addressing Alsina's Romance

6 Major Things We Learnt From Will Smith And Jada's 'Red Table Talk' Addressing Alsina's Romance

Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett are yet again at the center of all topics on social media following Jada's explanation on her romance with August Alsina in her recent 'Red Table Talk' episode.

It should be recalled about a week ago, August Alsina in an interview confirmed his romantic relationship with the married actress.

Alsina emotionally recounted what he described as an emotional and sexual relationship with Jada that nearly ‘killed him’ when it ended.

The confirmation that he was romantically involved with the 48-year-old actress was not what got people talking, but the extra details that her husband, Will Smith “gave his blessing” as approval. (You can read HERE)

“I actually sat down with Will [Smith] and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership … he gave me his blessing,” – Alsina told Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club.

Reacting to the reports that went viral throughout last week (as I reported) , Jada Pinkett promised she'll be addressing the matter on her hit Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk.

There’s some healing that needs to happen…So I’m bringing myself to The Red Table,” the 48-year-old had written on Twitter.

Finally, she brought her husband, Will, to the episode (July 10) where they addressed the whole August Alsina scandal at length...and it's fair to say she kept it all the way real.

Head below as I highlight 6 major points from their conversation:

1. Jada Pinkett Admitted She Had A Relationship With August Alsina

Yes, she did have a relationship with the singer as earlier claimed. Jada first used the word "Entanglement" to describe what she had with Alsina, but Will corrected her that it was a relationship. According to Jada, this happened about four and half years ago.

2. The Said Relationship Began With Jada's Concern About Alsina's Health.

Will Smith said that the reason his family was initially involved or dedicated in August Alsina was because of his health issue at the time because he was "very sick". Jada added that she felt the need to him him through the process and along the line, they started getting more closer than usual which resulted into them dating.

3. Will Smith And Jada Pinkett Were Not Together As A Couple At The Time

According to Will and Jada, they were having issues in their marriage at the time which forced them to make a decision to "separate". It was at this point Jada felt she needed to "feel loved" which added to the reason she gave into the romance with Alsina.

4. Will Smith Never Gave His Approval To Jada And Alsina's Relationship

One of the most interesting part of August Alsina's interview last week was when he said Will "gave his blessings" to his relationship with his wife, Jada. Addressing this, Will said there is absolutely no way he could have given his approval to their relationship because he and Jada were separated at the time, so it was only her that could have given such approval.

5. They're Still Going Strong

Despite all the scandal surrounding August Alsina, Will and Jada's marriage is still a strong as ever. They seem to understand themselves which helps them navigate through life struggles as regards their union.

6. They Admit Their Marriage Is Not Perfect [Bad Marriage For Life]

Many, seeing Will and Jada's relationship with their children from outside, would believe their marriage is nothing but perfect. But the couple believes every marriages has its own issues. According to them, they try to find the positive vibe to move around it. Using one of the famous lines from Will's movie, 'Bad Boys For Life,' the couple tweaked it to say "Bad Marriage For Life"
