In Nigeria we are used to seeing different signposts, billboards and banners, some are serious, while some are very hilarious.


A lot of Nigerians are disobedient. For real. And their fellow Nigerians (who are also disobedient) have found alternative ways to keep them in check. Alternative ways being curses that involve them and their innocent generation. This is Nigeria, darlings. You fight fire with fire, like in the photos below;

All in all, the funniest signboard has to be the one below;

"Mountain of swallowing problems?" There is no end to the outrageous names people give their churches in Nigeria these days. For instance; High Tension Ministry, Devil go hear am Jesus Ministry, Chukwudi & Son evangelical ministry, Aba, Holy Ghost on Fire Ministry, Abuja, Jesus the Landlord, We the Relaxing Pew ministry, Port-Harcourt… please someone stop me.

It goes on and this has just been added to the list.

Sign boards are meant to be informative, but in Nigeria our signposts are more or less threatening or a kind of warning signal.

I mean we love big sign boards that warn you to cease and desist from doing stuff. This is because we know our countrymen hardly ever listen if you tell them, nor do they like doing the right thing except you threaten them.
