The Willian Record Nobody Can Break In The Premier League Unless Another Pandemic Happens

Willian Borges Da Silva is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Chelsea football club of London. The 31 year old midfielder is likely in his final year at the club as he's yet to put pen to paper on a new deal which will end after the second leg of the Uefa Champions League match against Bayern Munich.

Willian is a popular figure in London, having been involved in a controversial transfer that sees him dump fellow rivals, Tottenham Hotspur for Chelsea even after having a medical at White Hart Lane, the same way John Mikel Obi was snapped up from Manchester United grip.

The player went on to spend 7 years in the club winning the Premier League, Europa League, Fa Cup, and the Capital One Cup during his tenure, with hosts of individual honours to complement it. Although the Brazilian is still a Chelsea player, at least until the second leg against Bayern Munich.

Willian may follow the footsteps of former teammate and fellow Brazilian, David Luiz to North London as Arsenal seems to be interested in signing the versatile midfielder. If the 31 year old eventually leaves the Premier League, he has set a record that no one would be able to break unless another pandemic happens.

During the course of the season, the outbreak of the novel disease, covid-19 caused an abrupt pause in footballing activities for 3 months, and eventually resumed in June according to the English FA, a month which is normally reserved for holidays and preseason games. Willian who has in the past scored in all months of the premier league, used the opportunity to put his name into history book by netting in the remaining two months.

Willian has now officially scored a goal in the Premier League in all the months of the year which wouldn't have been possible if not for the pandemic. Unless another pandemic happens, that record is meant to stay forever and ever.
