How to prepare Nigerian mint tea At home

Fresh peppermint leaves give this mint tea recipe a pungent menthol aroma and flavor.

Since this tea is made with herbs, it is technically considered a herbal tea.

In this recipe, as long as it's fresh, you can serve it hot or iced, sweetened or unsweetened, and with or without lemon.

Ingredients

Four pieces of tea bag.

8 pieces of mint.

4 cups of water.

0.75 cup of lemon juice.

0.25 cup of orange juice.

1.25 cup of sugar or honey.

Preparation

First of all, boil 4 cups of water in a pot.

When the water starts to boil, add the tea bags and the mint into the boiling water.

After adding the teabags and mint, cover the pot and allow it to boil for another 10 to 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, you can now add your other ingredients.

If you are serving iced, fill some tall glasses with ice cubes and pour your tea in it.

If you are serving hot, pour the tea into mugs.

You can place some lemon slices on the glass and serve. Or add your lemon juice to taste.
